    GARDEN

Unless you had the rare opportunity to grow up in with parents or grandparents who had green thumbs and passed it down to you, odds are gardening will be a learned adventure.

I was fortunate to grow up on a farm and my grandparents were our neighbors just down the road.  They had beautiful gardens and preserved jars upon jars of tomatoes, pickles, green beans and peaches.

While I was raised with the view that this was a normal way of life, I didn't start practicing these skills until I was much older. Now I look forward to growing tomatoes, potatoes, pumpkins, garlic and so much more each year!
