GARDEN
Unless you had the rare opportunity to grow up in with parents or grandparents who had green thumbs and passed it down to you, odds are gardening will be a learned adventure.
I was fortunate to grow up on a farm and my grandparents were our neighbors just down the road. They had beautiful gardens and preserved jars upon jars of tomatoes, pickles, green beans and peaches. While I was raised with the view that this was a normal way of life, I was very young and didn't learn their skills. Plenty of inspiration, but no actual ability.
Fast forward to my current season of life, we are relearning the old ways that have been lost to time. My husband and I are now excited about the first cucumber of the season and spend our evenings tending the garden or preserving the harvest.
I'm still learning, and I imagine you are, too. I'm currently working on making growing guides for all of our favorite (and most successful!) garden crops. From Tomatoes to Potatoes and Garlic Scapes to Pumpkins, browse around to learn from my own successes and failures in the garden!
