NATURAL LIVING & ESSENTIAL OILS

Listen, I was skeptical too.

As a mom who has used oils for almost a decade, I really didn't  think very far past lavender, lemon and thieves.  I ran diffusers in my babies bedrooms and made my own coconut oil and lavender baby bottom salve.  I had immunity rollers in my purse, diaper bag, car and bathrooms. It had passed my personal 'tests' and I knew it worked.  When I would hear people giving medical advice about how to cure ailments with oils, I'd immediately tune it out.  It's not logical, and if it worked, my doctor would recommend it! Um, yeah... not exactly.

When essential oils are inhaled, they reach the brain in 3 seconds. After 22 seconds, the essential oil can be found in every cell of the body.

The moment that changed my mind

Well, I had quite an experience during the summer of 2018. I suffered a neck injury and found myself in tons of pain, with no relief.  Finding a sleeping position was impossible, sitting aggravated the pain and all I could do was pace around my house, feeling hopeless.  A friend mentioned to me that I should try using oils to reduce anxiety, improve my mood and help with the symptoms of my injury.  Did I mention I was skeptical?  But as a semi-crunchy mom who despises taking over the counter medications long term, I thought I might as well try it.

I am filled with GRATITUDE when I look at what oils have done for my mind since that awful summer.  To my friends who are suffering from illness, anxiety or chronic pain, I URGE you to research how natural homeopathic remedies including oils can help your condition.  The things that have worked for me were NEVER brought up in a doctor visit, but rather from friends and family.  Even if you don't have any major health concerns (that was me up until recently!), there is something natural you can do to improve your life, I promise.  Even if it is the simple baby steps of creating a chemical free home.  Let's take our lives back to the basics, the way God intended!  He created us in a garden, surrounded by plants... coincidence? No way.

When my little boys are extra wiggly and have trouble being calm, I drop GeneYus on the back of their necks to settle them.

I made small changes

If you want to create a safe haven of healthy food and a chemical free living, you can do it!  I am in mine, and let me assure you it has simplified my life.  I use one plant based cleaner to clean every single surface in my house.  It doesn't get any easier than that! I discovered that many of my household products had been 'greenwashed,' meaning they seemed harmless enough but the ingredients listed on the label were absolutely toxic. I was a sucker for the pretty 'all-natural' packaging.

This is where I will be filing my blog posts that contain tips for using natural therapeutic grade oils, supplements that actually work and plant based cleaners.  It isn't difficult and I will help you if this is something you want for your family! I am not a doctor and I will never give out medical advice, but if you have questions I will point you towards people or resources and I'll help you make plan.   For me, this looks like a regimen of oils, supplements and exercise.  What could a healthier life look like for your family?  For more info, follow me on instagram @ninnescahmadewellness or start your oily journey here yl.pe/8qxc

Affectionately yours, Meg
