bottlebrush trees & magnetic eyelashes

November 29, 2018 by Meg 4 Comments

Good morning, friends!  I am going to share with you a few things that I have been loving lately.

First up, I went downtown on Saturday to our local Flower Shoppe and scored a bunch of gorgeous bottle brush trees.

I have this dilemma... I gravitate towards neutral, but I'm head over heels for rainbows of color.  It's complicated. What can I say?

I also switched out my antique printing press drawer for a bigger oil storage option... I'll share it when I'm finished!

I set up the colorful trees in Abe's bedroom and put the neutrals in my entry and living room.  He has his own mini tree with ornaments he’s made or collected.  He is so proud of it. When people drop by the house, he pulls them to his room and makes them admire his tree!

Last Christmas, my mom picked up holiday flannel duvet covers for each of the boy's bedrooms from Pottery Barn Kids.  It was such a great idea for christmas gifts!

They were able to enjoy them for the entire month of December, and we will continue to get them out each year until the boys outgrow them!

Here is Sam’s.  His tree is also full of his own personal ornaments.  It’s so sweet how he’s chosen his own keepsakes.  This room really suits him and he loves spending time in this space!

Last but not least, do you also impulse buy at the store?  That's me!  Every.  Single. Time.  I really should just order everything online and save some money.

For your personal enjoyment and possibly a good laugh, here's what magnetic eyelashes can do for you.

They were easy to apply and remove, and I actually really liked how overdone they made my eyes look.  It was an obvious enhancement, but there's no point in being shy about it!

The only down side is that they made my eyelashes feel heavy... I will probably only get them out for special occasions.  Here are the exact ones I bought.

Have you every tried false lashes?  Do you have any life changing makeup tips I need to know about?  I'm still stuck in 2002, so feel free to enlighten me!

I hope you have a great day!

Meg

Your post was fun to read and look at. The bedrooms with personal trees were my favorite. The lashes were awesome but don't think you could go wrong with your pretty face.

Thanks, Donita! It's so fun to watch and see what they chose to add to their trees. I definitely appreciate you taking the time to read through the post 🙂
